My New Favourite Running Buddies: Yurbuds Review

This morning I ventured outside for my first run of 2014. It was windy, and cold, and hard. BUT IT WAS AWESOME. I feel awesome for finally getting myself out there, and look forward to getting back out on Wednesday, whatever the weather!

For Christmas I received a pair of Yurbuds. For those of you that don't know, they are earphones which claim to NEVER fall out. Any of you that have ever been running with earphones, will know the pain of forever having to put them back in. If you're not putting them back in, you are cautiously pushing them, just in case they were thinking of falling out.

The version I have is the Inspire for Women Yurbuds. That's right, actually molded for women. The earpieces are smaller than others, because we women are dainty and graceful. As with all of the Yurbuds, they are sweat and water resistant, and made of a flexible type material which means they aren't painful, unlike some previous earbuds I've used (ahem Apple).

The premise is so simple, I just don't understand how no one had thought of this sooner. You place the bud into your ear, and twist into place. Once you've done that, THEY DO NOT COME OUT. AT ALL. Trust me I am not a majestic runner, it's not like these earbuds were given a smooth sail, but they just did not budge.

An added bonus for outdoor runners is that they let in ambient noise. This is good because, you know, cars, you need to not collide with them. They also have a much better audio quality then I was expecting from headphones made for running. Now I hate to sound boasty, but I have a degree in sound engineering, so you kinda have to value my opinion on this bit at least. They have by far the best sound quality of any earphones (headphones are different story, my BeyerDynamic pros win that one) I have tried, including ones not designed for exercise.

I realise this sounds like a massively sponsored post, but it's really not, I only wish Yurbuds would give me money and freebies. I just literally am so impressed by these earphones that I need to share my love for them. If you are in the market for a new pair of running buds, I implore you, get these! Available from their website, and amazon, and I'm sure other places too.
