Getting To Know You

Welcome to Scotch and Cassius! This blog is a joint blog, shared between two close friends. We have known each other for almost 13 years. We met at school in Lincolnshire, but have since moved to different towns and have been living apart for about 6 years. Despite the distance we have always remained close, and during our last meet up this weekend we realised that we both wanted to write.

 

Why do something alone, when you can do it with a friend?

Current location: Sleaford back to my roots!
Favourite book: That's a hard one... A Song of Ice and Fire series and The Inheritance Cycle stick out in particular
Favourite film: Oh god, there's too many! I love so many genres... How to Train Your Dragon is definitely up there. The Great Gatsby is also a recent favourite of mine!
Dream destination: Greece or Mexico (for the food of course)
TV show that you could quote the most: The Mighty Boosh definitely!
Your most used beauty product: Eyeliner! Never without it.
Why Scotch?: I think because I'm obsessed with Scotland!
Your first impression of Laura: I thought she was a teacher! Haha, at our school induction day because she was a lot taller than everyone else then... I'm glad she wasn't!

Why Cassius? : On one of the many nights out with Hannah, we came back to her dad's, and for some reason or other, I was drinking crème de cassis, I kept mistakenly calling it Cassius, probably because of the Foals song we were obsessed with at the time (and I because I had been drinking crème de cassis).

Your first impression of Hannah: For the first couple of years of secondary school, Hannah and I didn't talk. I was convinced she hated me and that she was a huge b*^%h. This is probably the one and only time my first impression of someone has been completely wrong.

We will be writing a wide variety of posts, from beauty to books, to film and food. You will get to know us a lot more throughout the months, and hopefully we will get to know you too!
