Welcome back, New Girl!

New Girl is back! Yay! Happy dance...

So the third season is in full swing and I couldn't be happier! New Girl is one of my favourite shows for many different reasons, the most obvious being that I'm completely in love with Zooey Deschanel. I mean, she is just perfect. In every way.

Also, New Girl gave us this amazing scene with Justin Long:

Excuse the poor quality but the original version is not online anywhere! You'll just have to put up with this awful recording. Doesn't take away from the hilarity of the scene though. So funny. 'I'M GONNA SPLIT YOU LIKE A LOG!'

I love all the characters in this show. I'd sometimes go so far to say that Nick is my favourite character from any TV show EVER.

He just makes me laugh so much and I love some of the things he comes out with. It helps that he's rather cute too.

My favourite part of this week's episode (Double Date) was where Nick and Jess are revealing lots of intimate details about themselves so they have nothing to hide. My personal favourites from Nick:

"I'm not convinced that I know how to read, I've just memorised a lot of words."
"I'm definitely sexually attracted to ladybugs."

I love Nick and Jess as a couple. Like everyone else, I was rooting for them from the very beginning and almost cried when they had that perfect first kiss...

Everything seems to be going well for them so far but I'm scared to see what the writers have in store. Nothing lasts forever in TV world!

Winston has really grown on me this season since he's started some kind of emotional and mental decline. The season premiere where he's trying to complete an ages 6+ puzzle was brilliant:

I loved him even more this week when the other guys caught him singing to his cat about making pasta together. I can definitely relate! (Crazy cat lady in the making here.)

I've always been a fan of Schmidt with his inappropriate behaviour and slutty escapades. I think the battle between his old self with Elizabeth and new skinny self with Cece is fun to watch too. Fat Schmidt is a legend!

This week we see it all blown out into the open though and I really feel for the two girls. Cheating is never fun! I'm interested to see where his storyline goes from here; whether he can salvage one of his relationships or if he'll go back to being a playaaaa. His attempt to break apart Nick and Jess should be entertaining though! Watch the initial promo for 'The Captain' here:

Can't wait!
