I've started with perhaps the easiest one. Keeping my red walls. I could even leave the white ones, meaning the only painting I would have to do would be the skirting and woodwork! Appealing so far.
To mix the red up a bit and give it a bit more life, I like the idea of turning it into a bit of a boho den. I really like the mix of vibrant blue, mint green and deep red. It also leaves a lot of options for decorative things. There really isn't much that couldn't be made to work in a boho room. Pretty much anything goes.
I could really see myself going all out with this style, I'd have fabrics on my ceiling and everything. I could have endless patterned cushions and bedding (Think of all the FLORAL) ! It would also be great fun to turn my old chest of drawers into a bright cyan masterpiece. I could also look for an old wardrobe to convert?
I'm surprised at how much I like this style, because as a rule I don't like colour. I always wear black, grey or neutral. Everything I have ever bought, from bath towels to kitchen plates, has always been black, or beige if I was feeling adventurous that day. My concern would be that my already small room would be dwarfed by all of the colour action.
What do you think?
